Albert Hallig
Alberto Aldecer Hallig (born August 18, 1955) is one of the OFW-SOS Action Officers in Yenbu, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
A Fighter for His Own Rights

Qatif KSA 1987 - Ka Albert had filed a case against his employer at Dammam Labor Court. His complaint was for incomplete payment of overtime services. The workers were obliged to render work for 12 hours a day, seven days a week. Even without the support of his co-workers, he won the case against his company. He then continued working to finish the remainder of his contract. At the end of his contract, his employer refused to process his exit visa. Sensing that this was an act of revenge, Ka Albert immediately sought the assistance of the Dammam Labor Court which eventually sided in his favor. The labor court then ordered Ka Albert's employer to process his repatriation. Five days after his last court appearance, Ka Albert went home in December, 1987.
A Fighter for Others' Rights
Riyadh 1992 - OFW Tarry Pelayo, a female nurse from Toledo City, Cebu had ran away from her employer. The nurse fled from her employer to avoid illegal transfer of sponsorship. She was forced to stay for another two years under the new sponsor. Tarry also complained of delayed salary and being locked up in the accommodation. By chance, Ka Albert met Tarry and had learned of her plight during a clinic appointment. He then took the distressed nurse to the Philippine Embassy in Riyadh where she was given shelter and attention by the embassy's labor office (POLO). The processing of her case took so long until she decided to quit and requested repatriation. The embassy could not give in to her immediate demand and asked for a plane ticket. Learning about this, Ka Albert offered help once more by soliciting the required amount for her plane ticket. After getting the ticket, OFW Tarry Pelayo was finally flown home.
Two Decades After - (2007 to present )

Ka Albert continued to be an independent advocate empowering and assisting OFWs in need. Ka Albert is one of the very active action officers of the advocacy groups Task Force Pusong Mamon/V-Team. Ka Albert constantly coordinates with fellow OFW-SOS action officers on any matter pertaining to community services that will benefit our fellow OFW. For two decades, Ka Albert continuously helped his fellow Filipinos in distressed. He is currently stationed in Yenbu, KSA. He also spearheaded a signature campaign in Yenbu for Petition for Special Exchange Rates.
Testimonies
Ka Albert is an example of an advocate who fits in with the principles of the V-Team Advocacy and Community Service. He is a silent person yet he is very effective in making difference to the lives of people, specifically OFWs in need. He does not belong to any Embassy-accredited groups but his activities are well known to a lot of OFWs. His actions speak louder than his words. He is after for the resolution of each case and not for shouting of inactions against any Philippine government post. If the Embassy and consulate won't do it, Ka Albert and the V-Team will do it. - VTEAM -KSA
